I grew exposed to all kinds of films. In Manhattan there were three or four theater that showed only foreign films. And I became obsessed. School was relatively uninteresting, if something has already been discovered why do I need to read the book? I grew up with academic parents and was well read by the age of eight. Fictional books were wonderful journeys but film was a visual journey and a film had to capture you quickly, I felt there were many questions and that bothered me.

I read screenwriting books, film theory books, read all the film reviews and saw at least 3 films a week, while making a successful career in real estate. Nevertheless those questions persisted. Only nothing I read about film was uninteresting, evidence, plot points, I was 15 when I returned to see a film twice and found the answers I had been looking for. But I was 15 and my interest turned to teenage things. Until many years later I sat down and wrote out my theory, I uncovered a few new important questions And my theory is now complete, evidenced, it can make predictions, so I wrote it.
